We are Durham Community Foundation and community vitality has been our purpose, promise and passion since 1994 when we started connecting donors to community needs and opportunities.
We build community vitality in three ways:
Donor Engagement
It takes long-term resources for long-term solutions – so we work with donors to build endowment and other funds that ensure vital futures for communities.
Granting to Charities
Vitality comes from all corners of a community, so we grant funds to the widest 
possible range of organizations and initiatives.
Leadership
We provide leadership, bringing people together from all parts of our community to stimulate new ideas, build participation and strengthen community philanthropy.
Since our inception we’ve granted over $500,000 to the widest possible range of organizations and initiatives.
